Description
A fast-growing SaaS organisation that develops and modernises enterprise software for public sector and regulated organisations is looking for a Product Designer. The role covers the end-to-end product design lifecycle, from discovery and user research through to developer handover and post-release review. You will work closely with product management, engineering and an in-house design team to design complex workflows, and contribute to defining the organisation's design system and design standards.
Responsibilities
End-to-end involvement in the design process from discovery and user research to developer handover and post-release review
Develop a deep understanding of the problem space together with product management, engineering and the in-house design team
Design complex workflows that support the day-to-day needs of users
Contribute to the standardisation of design system standards within a maturing Product Design function
Use AI-enabled tools including Claude and Figma to move rapidly from early concepts to developer-ready designs
Create high-fidelity prototypes to explore and validate ideas and communicate interactions
Produce clear interaction specifications and comprehensive handover documentation
Champion accessibility and usability to ensure inclusive, intuitive and effective experiences
Requirements
3-5 years of experience designing multifaceted products with a strong focus on end-to-end workflows
Experience working closely with in-house Product Management and Engineering teams
Background in B2B SaaS, government, local authorities or workflow software
Strong proficiency in Figma, including high-fidelity prototypes and established component libraries and design systems
Hands-on experience using Claude as part of the design process and appetite to experiment with other AI tools
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and provide rationale
Ability to document designs clearly so developers can build with minimal follow-up
Problem-solving, UX Design, System Thinking, AI-enabled tooling and visual craft skills
Adaptable and self-motivated with natural curiosity for the problem space
