Описание

UP42 is a Berlin-based geospatial platform, founded in 2019 and part of Neo Space Group since July 2025, that lets organizations order, access and analyze Earth observation data at scale. The company is looking for a Product Designer to join its Design Team as the design partner for one of its product teams, working alongside a Product Manager and engineers. The role centres on complex, data-rich interfaces, end-to-end delivery from early idea to shipped work, and active contribution to the shared design system. Hybrid work based in Berlin.

Обязанности

Take design work from an early idea through to delivery, proposing solutions to blockers rather than only reporting them
Be the reliable design partner for the product team, the person the PM and engineers come to first
Design for complexity: dense data tables, long-running processes and workflows where edge cases matter
Look for evidence before designing: talk to users, review what support and sales know, run tests on own work
Push to understand the problem before designing a solution and speak up when a brief arrives already shaped as one
Scope own features, break them into pieces, estimate timing and flag delays early with a plan B
Contribute to the design system by proposing and building components, not only using them
Share work cross-functionally, take feedback, iterate and act on improvements without being asked

Требования

Experience delivering product design work end-to-end inside a cross-functional team
Solid interaction (IxD) and visual/UI design skills
Ability to make complex data and workflows understandable
Strong Figma skills
Working understanding of how a design system is actually built: component structure, behaviour and rules
Experience using research and product evidence for design decisions: usability tests, customer conversations, support tickets, product data
Comfortable telling the difference between what is known and what is assumed
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adjust when learning changes direction
Able to scope own work and communicate honestly about time
Collaborative, feedback-driven and proactive about visible problems
Fluent in English and based in Berlin with hybrid work capability
Bonus: experience designing geospatial, enterprise or data-heavy B2B products
Bonus: background in UX research, data visualization or complex workflow design
Bonus: knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design
Bonus: experience with interactive prototyping
Bonus: awareness of current AI tools and emerging opportunities in UX processes
