Description
A commercially oriented Senior Product Manager is sought to drive the growth, competitiveness, and profitability of a chemical process pump portfolio. The role acts as a bridge between customers, the commercial organization, engineering, and operations, translating market intelligence into actionable strategies. It is a highly visible, cross-functional position requiring independent thinking, strategic judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a global organization. The role can be based in Germany, Spain, or one of the Benelux countries, with a focus on the EU region.

Responsibilities
Develop deep knowledge of the global chemical process pump market, including applications, customers, competitors, and industry trends
Build and maintain competitive intelligence on product performance, pricing, lead times, manufacturing footprint, and commercial strategies
Identify high-growth market segments, new applications, competitive risks, and opportunities to increase market share
Gather firsthand market insight through engagement with customers, EPCs, distributors, regional sales teams, and internal stakeholders
Translate market and business insights into actionable strategies that drive profitable growth and strengthen competitive positioning
Develop and execute market-driven product and portfolio strategies aligned with growth, profitability, and lifecycle value objectives
Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain to improve product competitiveness, cost, availability, delivery performance, and technology roadmaps
Lead global product launches, value propositions, commercial enablement, portfolio optimization, and installed-base/aftermarket growth initiatives
Build strong cross-functional alignment and communicate strategic recommendations, business cases, training, and presentations to technical, commercial, and leadership audiences
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline, or a recognized European equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in product management, technical sales, business development, or strategic marketing within the industrial pump industry
Demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives involving multiple functions or stakeholders
Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, including developing and delivering compelling presentations to technical, commercial, and executive audiences
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility and influence stakeholders across organizational boundaries
Self-motivated and capable of working independently, setting priorities, and driving initiatives from concept through execution
Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated ability to rapidly develop expertise in new markets, technologies, and applications
Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization with stakeholders from diverse functional and cultural backgrounds
Professional fluency in English
Familiarity with chemical process pumps, including ISO 2858 designs
Knowledge of the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or other industrial process markets
Experience with both mechanically sealed and sealless pumping technologies
