Описание

Apprenticeship position for a web journalist within the editorial team of a major French magazine publisher. The role combines daily news monitoring, content production and SEO optimisation for a large online audience. The apprentice pitches topics and writes news, analysis and service pieces aligned with the publication's editorial line, while tracking editorial performance. Work is organised in a hybrid format based at the Paris office.

Обязанности

Carry out a daily monitoring of news and current affairs
Identify topics, trends and emerging phenomena likely to interest the magazine's readers
Track social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X), competitor media and cultural platforms
Pitch topics every day that fit the publication's editorial line
Find original and differentiating angles to cover the news
Write news articles, analysis, service pieces and SEO formats
Take part in updating existing content where relevant
Apply SEO best practices when producing content
Help identify high-potential search queries and topics with strong audience potential
Monitor editorial performance in order to adapt topic proposals
Take part in editorial meetings
Contribute proposals on editorial formats and topics
Work closely with the other journalists in the newsroom

Требования

Excellent writing and editorial skills
Strong general knowledge of current affairs
Strong editorial curiosity and news sense
Good knowledge of web journalism conventions and formats
Awareness of search engine optimisation (SEO) issues
Good command of social media and their uses
Ability to quickly identify trends and emerging topics
Mastery of fact-checking techniques and journalistic ethics
Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit
Curiosity and rigour in daily work
Journalism school or specialised university degree in journalism, media or communication
