Description

Wikiloc, a leading outdoor navigation platform, is hiring a Backend Java Engineer to optimize performance and scalability for millions of users. The role involves working in a hybrid model with flexible hours, contributing to system architecture and decisions.

Responsibilities

Actively participate in platform development to optimize performance and scalability
Make decisions on current and new technology impacting millions of users
Possibly be part of on-call Tier 2 or 3
Contribute to architecture improvement and complexity reduction

Requirements

5+ years of professional backend development experience
3+ years of Java development experience
University degree in Computer Science or similar
Strong learning ability and knowledge synthesis
Clear focus on security best practices
Autonomy and result-oriented mindset
Understanding of Catalan and English
