Описание

The role centers on the real-time RTB bidder that prices ad impressions billions of times daily, handling hundreds of thousands of queries per second and tens of billions of ML decisions per day. The data scientist owns the full project lifecycle — from hypothesis and data analysis through model training and A/B tests to production deployment and monitoring. Models run in production and directly drive eCPM, CTR, revenue and LTV.

Обязанности

Designing and deploying ML models solving business problems (prediction, ranking, user behavior modeling)
Creating and deploying optimization and recommendation algorithms (e.g. auction bid setting, budget allocation, content personalization) directly impacting key business metrics like eCPM, CTR, revenue, LTV and reader engagement
Taking part in R&D projects — exploring new ML/AI methods (e.g. sequential models, LLM, RL), testing hypotheses and moving the best ideas to production
Designing and analyzing A/B tests on production traffic to precisely assess the impact of models on the business
Collaborating with engineering, product and business teams and sharing knowledge within the team

Требования

Minimum 3 years of commercial experience building and deploying ML models in production as Data Scientist, ML Engineer or similar role
Very good knowledge of Python and tools such as PyTorch, LightGBM, XGBoost or Polars
Ability to write clean code and tests, with experience using Git and conducting code review
Experience working with large datasets using SQL (e.g. ClickHouse or StarRocks) and Apache Spark, PySpark or similar tools
Solid grounding in probability, statistics and optimization, e.g. from studies in mathematics, physics, computer science or related fields
Ability to independently translate business problems into ML tasks and clearly present results to non-technical people
English at B2 level for comfortably using technical documentation and scientific publications
