The role is a DevOps Engineer for ID Services based in Berlin. It focuses on automating security-critical IT workflows and operating highly available infrastructure in private and public clouds within a TrustCenter environment. You will build CI/CD pipelines, drive DevOps practices and advise service owners and solution architects. Solid Linux, Kubernetes, PKI/HSM and automation skills are expected, with German and English at B2 level.

Responsibilities
Automation of security-critical IT workflows and operational processes in the TrustCenter environment
Design, build and operation of highly available IT infrastructures in private and public cloud environments
Responsible for the secure administration and reliable operation of infrastructure systems
Identification and implementation of automation potential using DevOps and CI/CD best practices
Implementation of CI/CD pipelines as well as automated deployment of complex infrastructure environments
Technological consulting for service owners and solution architects as well as support in establishing DevOps methods
Evaluation of new technologies, handling of 2nd-level support requests and maintenance of technical documentation in ticket and knowledge systems
Requirements
Completed degree in computer science, training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or comparable technical qualification
Solid knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Kubernetes platforms
Experience with PKI, certificates, certificate-based applications and Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
Several years of practical experience in development and automation with Bash and/or Python
Experience in designing, implementing and operating CI/CD pipelines as well as deploying complex infrastructures
Extensive knowledge of automating infrastructure tasks and using APIs for system integration
Strong problem-solving skills, a structured working method and the ability to communicate independently in German and English, at least at B2 level
