Description

Kyndryl is hiring a Lead Creative Technologist for its AI Innovation Lab within Kyndryl Vital, based in Madrid. The role bridges human-centered design, business strategy, and emerging technology, turning ambiguous enterprise challenges into testable prototypes and evidence-backed decisions. The Lab runs short co-creation cycles with client sponsors and users, favoring demos over decks and evidence over opinion.

Responsibilities

Shape the right challenge by locating the real decision inside a broad client brief
Design and facilitate co-creation sessions for executives, subject-matter experts, users, designers and engineers
Make ideas tangible early with sketches, scenarios, conversation flows and low-code tools
Prototype with people during and between sessions while trade-offs are still visible
Design human-agent collaboration patterns with autonomy, approvals, escalation, rollback and human override
Test value and feasibility across desirability, data readiness, integration, security, cost and maintainability
Turn learning into direction with opportunity areas, principles, requirements and success measures
Create a clean path to delivery partnering with architects, security, data and delivery leads
Help build the Lab as a capability with reusable methods, component libraries and evaluation sets

Requirements

Human-centered and systemic thinking applied at a strategic design level
Strategy through making with artifacts and experiments that reduce ambiguity
Participatory facilitation of executive workshops and hands-on co-creation sessions
Cross-disciplinary collaboration with design, data, architecture, security and client teams
AI experience literacy across generative and agentic systems and their failure modes
Responsible experimentation covering data use, model limits, permissions and auditability
Evidence-led storytelling distinguishing observed, assumed, simulated and validated facts
Enterprise pragmatism with respect for governance, security and accessibility
Service design expertise
Rapid creation of functional prototypes using low-code platforms, AI-assisted development or code
Hands-on experience with generative AI, prompt and context design, structured outputs and agentic workflows
Working knowledge of RAG, APIs, data integration, identity and permissions
Advanced problem framing, systems thinking and design research or experience strategy
Executive communication with ability to challenge solution-first thinking constructively
Strong portfolio showing how you moved from ambiguity to a tangible outcome
Five or more years in creative technology, service or product design, innovation or consulting
Experience working with enterprise clients in complex governance and delivery environments
Professional fluency in English and Spanish, another European language is an advantage
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
Hands-on with Figma, FigJam and Miro for co-creation and experience design
Working with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps and Power Automate platforms
Experience with Microsoft Foundry / Azure AI, prompt and agent tooling and evaluation services
Knowledge of SharePoint, Dataverse, Azure AI Search RAG components and connectors
VS Code, GitHub, API clients and basic front-end or scripting capability for prototypes
Experience with test sets, observability, content safety, accessibility checks and cost monitoring

Conditions

Hybrid work model in Madrid with regular in-person work at the lab and client locations
Be Well programs supporting financial, mental, physical and social health
Personalized development goals, continuous feedback and career path tools
Access to certifications with Microsoft, Google and Amazon plus coaching and hands-on experiences
Dynamic hybrid-friendly culture that supports well-being and growth
