The company manufactures fiscal devices — cash registers and printers — and develops its own hardware and software solutions, from electronics and firmware to configuration and management applications. It is hiring a software quality engineer to build a high-quality QA process — test strategy, environments, tools, automation and release management — ensuring reliability of a SaaS system that combines web services, fiscal devices and mobile applications. The role covers technical and organizational solutions, expert oversight and coordination of the test team, plus release management documentation.

Обязанности

Designing, implementing and evolving technical and organizational solutions for verifying service correctness
Designing, maintaining and evolving test strategies and plans based on functional and technical specifications
Ensuring test coverage of the whole system and its components across unit, integration, system and acceptance levels
Covering functional and non-functional tests: performance, scalability, security, usability and reliability
Selecting and developing environments, tools and solutions for manual and automated testing
Designing, implementing and maintaining processes for production release approvals of system components
Defining and implementing quality standards, processes and KPIs and reporting quality status to management
Creating the concept and plan for building the test team and defining required competencies
Providing expert oversight and coordinating the test team, decomposing plans and assigning tasks to testers
Running tests independently, analyzing results and reporting nonconformities
Cooperating with designers and developers on identifying root causes of bugs and producing fixes
Selecting, onboarding, setting goals and evaluating test team members, supporting their competence development
Owning the development of the quality assurance process and testing standards
Coordinating test execution across projects with development, analytics and design teams
Maintaining release documentation: version registers, change and known-issue records, test documentation and production approval documents

Требования

Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and running tests of complex IT systems
Experience in defining and implementing quality assurance processes and quality metrics
Experience in designing and implementing test automation covering web, mobile and physical device solutions
Experience in software release management
Experience in building, recruiting, onboarding or running a test team is a plus
Ability to create manual and automated test strategies, plans and scenarios from functional and technical specifications
Ability to select test scope and types depending on project stage, risk and change scope
Ability to create and maintain test documentation and report results
Ability to run technical agreements with project teams and other stakeholders
Ability to organize test team work, including decomposing test plans and assigning tasks
Proactive approach to improving testing processes, tools and methods
Willingness to co-create and eventually run the test team
