Описание

Scientific software engineering role focused on building advanced applications for modelling, simulating and analysing complex scientific data. The engineer writes high-quality code in C++, C#, Python or Fortran and implements numerical algorithms, data models and performance optimisations. Work covers challenging R&D projects in industry, agro, healthcare and high-tech systems, from concept to implementation, with a strong focus on software design, architecture, quality and reliability.

Обязанности

Develop advanced software applications for modelling, simulating and analysing complex scientific data
Write high-quality code in C++, C#, Python or Fortran
Implement numerical algorithms, data models and performance optimisations
Develop robust technical software applications and technical simulations and models with C++, Qt, C# and/or Python
Implement complex mathematical algorithms and physical models in high performance software (HPC/CFD/FEM)
Contribute to and set up robust, scalable and maintainable software designs and architectures using OO skills, SOLID and GRASP
Maintain software quality by applying Test Driven Development and Behaviour Driven Development
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as AI specialists, hardware engineers, project leaders and product owners
Research and apply the latest techniques and developments
Work closely with researchers and data scientists to develop custom software solutions
Support High Tech clients in the Randstad with technical expertise and solution-oriented thinking
Contribute to challenging R&D projects from concept phase to implementation in industry, agro, healthcare and high-tech systems
Think about design and architecture with a strong focus on quality and reliability of engineered solutions

Требования

Completed technical university degree (WO) or PhD in Computer Science, IT, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or similar
Preferably several years of experience in software development of technical software applications
Knowledge of and experience with C++, supplemented by Python and possibly Qt (a plus)
Affinity with High Performance Computing, optimisation and parallelisation
Preferably experience with development processes such as Agile Scrum
Preferably insight into development principles such as Object Oriented Programming, Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development, SOLID and GRASP
Background in both software development and the ability to quickly master a specific scientific domain
Preferably a PhD or MSc with hands-on experience developing software in C++, C# or Python
Master's degree (required)
Dutch language (required)
Driving licence B (required)
