Data4Life is a nonprofit digital health organization supported by the Hasso Plattner Foundation, building secure, standards-compliant research infrastructures (FHIR, OMOP) for clinical research. The Senior Full-Stack Developer will work on a medical image annotation application built in collaboration with Mount Sinai Health System in New York, supporting clinical researchers working with real patient data at scale. The role spans frontend and backend development, architecture decisions, and direct engagement with users and clinical partners.

Обязанности

Design, build, and ship high-quality frontend and backend features with accessible, performant, maintainable, and well-tested code
Contribute to software design and architecture decisions, and take part in code reviews across the full stack
Work closely with designers, QA, and product management as part of an integrated team to deliver user-centered software
Engage directly with customers and users, joining feedback sessions and user research to build end-to-end understanding of the product
Design with security at the core, shaping authorization concepts and data protection architecture from the ground up

Требования

University degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer or full-stack developer, or equivalent experience
Strong frontend skills: deep fluency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript, with hands-on experience in React or equivalent
Solid backend experience: proficiency in Go (Golang), Kubernetes, and Docker, or equivalent
Experience with relational databases; PostgreSQL is used
Professional written and spoken English, German language skills a plus
