Описание

An influencer marketing platform for luxury and lifestyle brands is hiring its first dedicated QA engineer, a founding role in the Tech team. The mission is to build the QA function from the ground up: define test strategy, stand up E2E and API test coverage, own the release checklist and coordinate UAT. The engineer works across multiple engineering squads, combining hands-on functional testing with growing automation and mentoring engineers on testability.

Обязанности

Define test strategy first, setting testing guidelines for engineers in the first month
Design the automated-testing roadmap: what to automate, what stays manual, and in what order
Define the functional test plan for each new feature and run the critical cycles yourself
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with stakeholders before major releases
Define the pre-deploy checklist and the post-deploy smoke test, running them before every production deploy
Flag release risks to the engineering lead, who makes the final ship decision
Build automated E2E and integration test suites starting with the highest-value flows
Wire gRPC and API-level tests for backend services
Mentor engineers on writing more testable code and grow unit test coverage
Partner across multiple dev squads, adapting testing priorities to each squad's roadmap
Hand routine functional testing back to the engineers after coverage is in place

Требования

5+ years in QA, including experience building a QA function from scratch
Strong manual and exploratory testing and bug reporting discipline
Hands-on experience with an E2E framework such as Playwright or Cypress
API testing experience, comfortable with gRPC tooling or able to ramp quickly
Comfortable reading frontend (Angular) and backend (Java) code to reason about root cause
Experience wiring automated tests into CI/CD (GitLab CI) so they gate releases
Zero-to-one builder mindset, comfortable with no existing clear process
Pragmatic prioritizer who picks the highest-risk flows to test first
Direct communicator who raises quality risks clearly and early with evidence
Fluent English, spoken and written, as the working language across teams
Interest in using AI/LLMs to scale test generation and coverage
Experience testing SaaS products with third-party API integrations
Performance and load testing exposure
