Senior Test Automation Engineer role focused on building and evolving test automation for web, iOS and Android applications. You will develop test frameworks in TypeScript with WebdriverIO, maintain automated test environments and embed tests into CI/CD pipelines. The position requires at least five years of automation experience, strong architecture thinking and fluent German alongside very good English. The role is based in Berlin with mobile working, an annual salary of 71,000–104,040 € and 30 days of vacation.

Обязанности

Co-develop and implement the test automation strategy for web, iOS and Android applications
Build and continuously evolve test frameworks with WebdriverIO and TypeScript as high-quality software code
Create, maintain and run complex end-to-end, integration and UI tests for web and native mobile apps
Own the setup and maintenance of automated test environments for backend services and for the mobile infrastructure including emulators and simulators
Apply AI-assisted development to speed up the implementation and maintenance of test cases, with critical assessment of results
Integrate automated tests seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality assurance
Analyze test results, carefully document defects and work closely with development teams to find solutions

Требования

Experienced software engineer focused on test automation with solid object-oriented programming and clean software architecture
At least five years of professional experience in test automation for complex software products, ideally backed by an ISTQB certification
Strong command of TypeScript and demonstrable experience building or significantly evolving test frameworks with WebdriverIO
Solid experience testing web applications and native iOS and Android apps, including an understanding of the specifics of both platforms
Practical experience with AI-assisted development, for example implementing and maintaining test cases, and knowing where it delivers real leverage
Strong architecture and maintainability mindset, with page objects, reusable components and stable test data expected as standard
Experience building test environments, ideally with containerization using Docker, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
Fluent German and very good written and spoken English for smooth communication
