Описание

An AI-first scale-up building virtual assistants, instructor efficiency tools, and student engagement solutions for universities and colleges. The role covers end-to-end design of AI-native products for two audiences: university teams and students/educators. It combines hands-on design work with mentoring and owning the design system and research process.

Обязанности

Create UI patterns for model-driven features such as prompting, feedback loops, explainability and fallbacks with safe predictable UX
Use AI design tools like Claude Design and Figma AI every day to research, prototype and explore faster, and set team best practices
Work from open problems instead of detailed specs: ask the right questions, challenge assumptions and propose a direction with clear reasoning
Lead end-to-end design for B2B features: discovery, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, interactive prototypes and shipped deliverables
Define acceptance criteria and success metrics for features and iterate designs based on product analytics and customer feedback
Produce developer-ready assets and specifications covering component usage, tokens and responsive behaviour, and support implementation during sprints
Run lean research with university customers: interviews, usability tests and co-development sessions with feedback discussions
Turn product analytics, session replays and customer feedback into clear problem statements and prioritized design recommendations
Create, maintain and grow a holistic product design system with components, tokens and accessibility rules in Figma and a component library
Establish design system governance: contribution workflow, versioning, release notes and cross-team ownership
Maintain clear documentation and examples for designers, engineers and product managers
Mentor and coach fellow designers, run design critiques, and support hiring and onboarding for a small remote EU team
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers and customer success to align designs with enterprise customer needs and roadmap priorities

Portfolio with at least 3 end-to-end case studies showing research to design to shipped outcome, linkable work required
Proven experience building a design system from scratch and maintaining it in production
Experience working in lean product teams such as startup or scale-up where designers own their work end-to-end
Working proficiency in English, able to run interviews and present findings to stakeholders
Familiarity with Storybook or component libraries
Hands-on experience planning and running user research such as interviews and usability testing
Familiarity with LMS platforms like Canvas, Brightspace, Moodle or edtech
