Описание

MoonPay is hiring a Senior/Staff Data Analyst into its centralised Product Data team, owning analytics across the full product lifecycle for crypto, stablecoin and payments products. The role combines deep analysis, experimentation and stakeholder partnership with Product and Engineering, including data modelling in a dbt and BigQuery layer. Work is remote across Europe, with hybrid attendance encouraged for people near a Moonbase, and London listed as the primary location.

Обязанности

Own analytics across the full product lifecycle, from defining problems and success metrics to launching, measuring and optimising products
Partner with product and business teams on rigorous analysis: root cause, opportunity sizing and funnel drop-off
Turn analysis into clear, prioritised recommendations while moving across problem areas as priorities shift
Define, document and maintain metric definitions and business context so stakeholders and AI tools read metrics correctly
Set up tracking and monitoring for new launches and changes, quantifying their impact on KPIs
Build and maintain a reporting layer with automated alerting and root cause analysis for KPI movements
Design, run and interpret experiments, from A/B tests to quasi-experimental methods
Model robust, trusted data in the dbt and BigQuery layer and safeguard quality through testing, documentation and certification
Create reusable, AI-assisted analytics skills that scale the team's impact and enable self-serve for Product and Engineering
Communicate complex concepts and findings to technical and non-technical audiences to drive critical business decisions

Требования

5+ years of hands-on experience as a data analyst or data scientist, preferably in a product-focused role
Advanced SQL and data visualisation as everyday working tools
Hands-on data modelling in a modern cloud warehouse and transformation framework (dbt with BigQuery, Snowflake)
Strong instinct for data quality across models and reporting
Solid grasp of statistics and probability, including experiment design and interpretation
A/B tests and quasi-experimental methods such as difference-in-differences
Understanding of payments or fintech operations: fraud, chargebacks, KYC/AML and payment success rates
Comfort using AI-assisted and LLM tools to accelerate analysis
Exceptional communication and stakeholder skills, distilling findings for audiences up to C-level
Ability to lead projects independently
Familiarity with the stack: dbt, BigQuery, Looker, Python and AI tooling such as Claude Code
Hands-on financial crime, payments or fraud analytics experience
Experience working in startups or scale-ups
Crypto-native perspective and experience with on-chain and blockchain data (Dune, Flipside, Chainalysis)
Experience making data self-serve for non-analysts, e.g. semantic layers or metric stores
