Описание

Motorola Solutions is hiring a Test Automation Engineer for the Avigilon Alta Video team, which builds the mission-critical infrastructure behind its video management system. The role focuses on automating tests across UI, API and backend layers within existing frameworks such as TypeScript and Playwright. The team is distributed across geographies and follows a hybrid model with an office in Uxbridge, West London. The ideal candidate combines strong automation skills, coding fundamentals and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Assure the quality of cutting-edge solutions for public safety and enterprise security
Support continuous quality benchmarks for real-time systems and new AI features
Develop, maintain and execute automated tests within existing frameworks across UI, API and backend systems
Assist with the execution and initial analysis of performance, load and stress tests on high-performance systems
Actively contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines to ensure frequent, high-quality releases

Требования

Develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts within established frameworks
Demonstrated proficiency in a modern programming language and core engineering principles
Experience testing and automating workflows across different system layers, including UI and APIs
Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills to identify and resolve test failures and system issues
Familiarity with CI/CD principles and practical experience contributing to or maintaining pipelines
Hands-on experience with TypeScript and Playwright
Familiarity with methodologies and tools for soak or performance testing
Practical experience with Jenkins or similar scheduling and integration tools
Exposure to video platforms, streaming technologies or media solutions
Experience in hardware, mobile and web automation
2-5 years of software engineering experience with HTML, CSS, TypeScript and ideally modern frontend frameworks
Understanding of application state patterns, data flows such as Pinia, Vuex or Redux and reactivity
Hands-on experience with RESTful API, websockets and web development principles
Good foundation in data structures, algorithms and design patterns
Collaborative team player with adaptability, prioritisation skills and willingness to learn
