Description

This role involves building and maintaining a reliable PostgreSQL platform for the Belastingdienst using CloudNativePG within OpenShift. The engineer will automate management processes, develop new features, and support DevOps teams in using PostgreSQL for business-critical applications.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and improve the PostgreSQL platform based on CloudNativePG within OpenShift. Automate management processes and develop solutions for team self-service. Build new platform functionalities and support DevOps teams. Share knowledge through documentation, workshops, and advice. Perform upgrades, test new releases, and monitor platform quality.

Requirements

HBO work and thinking level, minimum 5 years experience in a similar role. Experience with CloudNativePG, GitOps, Helm, Operators, OpenShift, storage, networking, and security in cloud-native environments. Experience with PostgreSQL including replication, backup, high availability, performance tuning, query optimization, roles, extensions, and WAL architecture. Experience with monitoring and observability solutions. Experience with security measures.

Conditions

32-36 hours per week, salary range €4,132 to €6,275 gross per month, individual choice budget (IKB) for flexible benefits, study facilities, and travel reimbursement.
