Description
An 11-month paid graduate programme for junior designers at a global financial group, running from 15 January 2027 to 14 December 2027. Participants join a design team working on real digital products, service design, user research and the corporate design system, with a dedicated mentor throughout. The role is based in Madrid on a hybrid model with at least 60% on-site presence and combines project work with a structured design training track.
Responsibilities
Support user research and identification of user needs
Help define journeys, flows, value propositions and service experiences
Take part in creating prototypes, wireframes, visual pieces and design documentation
Contribute to maintaining and evolving design systems
Help turn complex problems into simple, clear and useful solutions
Work with multidisciplinary teams on digital, product and service projects
Prepare and present ideas, learnings and design proposals in a structured way
Collaborate on improving experiences in the company's mobile app
Participate in projects linked to decarbonisation, sustainability and new social dynamics
Requirements
University degree in Design, Fine Arts or similar, or a Master's or specialised training in Design for graduates of other fields
Official or homologated degree in Spain
Design studies (Bachelor's or Master's) completed between January 2024 and October 2026
No prior formative practice contract (model 420) in another company with the same qualification
Good written and verbal communication in Spanish (minimum C1) and English (minimum B2)
Ability to work in teams and conceptualise complex ideas
Ability to apply both critical and creative-generative thinking
Proactive and curious attitude
Valid residence and work permit in Spain to sign the employment contract
Fundamentals of interaction, usability and user experience
Service design: value proposition, journeys, user mapping, service blueprinting
Qualitative research: interviews, contextual observation, focus groups, field work
Visual composition and use of graphic resources
Figma or other design and prototyping tools
Ability to explain design ideas clearly, visually and in a structured way
Conditions
Formative contract for 11 months, full time, not a university scholarship
Start date 15 January 2027, end date 14 December 2027
Work from the company's offices in Madrid
Hybrid semi-presential model: at least 60% on-site and 40% remote per quarter
Placement in a top-level design team
Participation in real projects with impact
