Description
White Cube, a leading international contemporary art gallery, is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their in-house Design Team in London. The role covers both digital and print design across a wide range of projects including exhibitions, events, bookshop campaigns, and global gallery outputs. The candidate will work closely with the Head of Design and collaborate cross-departmentally to maintain brand consistency and deliver creative solutions to high standards.
Responsibilities
Support Head of Design on day-to-day artworking tasks across departments
Interpret internal briefs creatively for Curatorial, Comms, Digital, Bookshop and Events teams
Create Exhibition and Art Fair PDFs supporting curatorial and sales teams
Artwork lists of works and exhibition copy for gallery publications
Create wall vinyl for gallery spaces across worldwide locations
Support Exhibitions Team in creating bespoke visual outputs for visitor experience
Create digital invitations for gallery events and bespoke OOH assets
Artwork print stationary including business cards, comp slips and packing materials
Create branded Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates for the organisation
Artwork digital banner ad campaigns adapted to various formats
Artwork print advertisements for magazines and create OOH adverts for global locations
Support Bookshop Team with signage and bespoke solutions for special releases
Typeset print publications with knowledge of print profiles and pre-press workflow
Collaboratively produce decks to illustrate design concepts for internal presentations
Work closely with Head of Design to ensure all documents meet standard and deadline
Offer creative input during brainstorming sessions and advocate for design best practices
Maintain strong and consistent visual identity across all White Cube outputs
Build strong connections with other departments to ensure brand guideline compliance
Requirements
BA in Graphic Design or equivalent qualification
3+ years design experience in a studio, agency or in-house setting
Experience working within an established visual identity system
Fluent in Adobe CC: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects
Good knowledge of Figma for design workflows
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Strong eye for detail with impeccable typesetting skills
Good understanding of micro and macro typography principles
Confident with layout, hierarchy and composition across formats
Knowledge of print production and creative artwork processes
Able to interpret guidelines accurately and deliver high-standard designs
Highly organised, methodical, able to multitask with good time management
Proactive, adaptable and able to problem solve independently
Effective communicator who can report progress and blockers clearly
Team player with positive attitude able to collaborate cross-departmentally
Interest in contemporary art and working with artists
Conditions
Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm working hours
4 days onsite in Bermondsey, London with 1 day work from home
