Description
The company is hiring a (Junior) Full-Stack Developer for its Strategic Projects team, which builds lighthouse projects and proof-of-concepts on technology topics initiated by the CTO and other executives. The role focuses on designing and developing state-of-the-art software, rapidly prototyping proofs-of-concept and exploring AI and emerging technologies. The developer joins an agile team of developers, architects and designers, with teams mainly located in Potsdam and Walldorf and flexible working models.

Responsibilities
Work on innovative and strategic projects at the forefront of technology initiated by the CTO or other executives
Leverage strong software development skills to build lighthouse projects
Quickly design proof-of-concepts and actively develop, challenge and improve state-of-the-art software
Deliver meaningful impact and high-quality results
Collaborate in an agile team of developers, architects and designers
Continuously explore advancements in AI and other upcoming technologies
Present technical ideas to stakeholders and discuss approaches with the team
Requirements
Strong programming skills in languages such as TypeScript, Go or Rust
Strong computer science competencies: data structures, algorithms, design patterns and software design
Ability to analyze and solve issues in existing and new code
Very good knowledge of state-of-the-art web technologies including Node.js and TypeScript
Proficiency in at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Vue or Svelte is mandatory
Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related field
Practical experience designing secure, scalable AI-native applications combining traditional software components and agentic AI capabilities
Very good understanding of cloud programming and infrastructures
Experience designing, documenting and implementing APIs (REST, GraphQL)
Knowledge of relational databases, microservice architectures and distributed systems
Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure such as BTP or Hyperscaler
Knowledge of Machine Learning and setup/maintenance of pipelines is a plus
Knowledge of agile software development processes and experience driven by regular code reviews
Strong interest in exploring new technologies and familiarity with recent technology trends
Strong communication skills to present technical ideas to stakeholders and discuss approaches with the team
Fluent English and German language skills, both written and verbal
First professional work experience in a similar role with responsibility in development projects
Reliable, positive, open-minded and collaborative personality with strong teamwork skills
Determination to achieve goals on time and ability to work independently while prioritizing effectively
