Description

Junior Full Stack Developer role in Berlin within a furniture and home & living marketplace. The engineer builds new features with modern web technologies and works across frontend, backend, databases and caching in small agile teams. The product serves millions of users daily, with a strong focus on user experience and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

Develop new features using modern web technologies
Work closely with the product management team to analyse business requirements and define and implement technical solutions
Further develop and maintain the system architecture across frontend, backend, databases and caching solutions
Act as an active part of a software team, taking part in code reviews, pair programming, retrospectives, IT meetings and other processes
Take responsibility for own topics and act as a contact person
Continuously learn through company-wide tech talks, expert chats, tech days and employee workshops

Requirements

Completed IT degree with very good grades (computer science, media informatics, business informatics or similar) or vocational training as an IT specialist
Good knowledge of software development with modern programming languages such as C#, Java, PHP, Python or Go
First experience building web applications or mobile apps
Understanding of relational and distributed database systems as well as search and analytics platforms such as MySQL, Elasticsearch and ClickHouse
Willingness to build modern frontends with React and TypeScript
First touchpoints with AI tools such as Claude Code and Cursor and interest in using them in the development process
Self-initiative and motivation to advance the product, the team and personal growth
Fluent German (at least C1) and good English (B2)
