Description

Contechs Consulting is hiring a Manufacturing Quality Engineer on behalf of an innovative American automotive manufacturer focused on affordable electric mobility and purpose-built EVs. The role is based in Warsaw, Indiana, USA and primarily covers software QA and testing of embedded systems alongside quality processes for vehicle development. This is a contract position requiring valid US work authorization with no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test suites for software and embedded systems
Perform functional, regression, UAT, and live environment testing across platforms
Identify, document, and track bugs using tools such as Jira, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
Analyse system requirements and translate them into detailed test documentation and quality assurance protocols
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and business analysts to ensure product readiness
Support the implementation of Agile practices and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Evaluate product performance post-release using analytics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
Maintain quality documentation including FSDs, PRDs, and mock-ups
Provide training and mentorship to new team members on QA processes and tools
Risk minimization through use of appropriate risk assessment tools and verification of detection and prevention systems
Support the development and maintenance of FMEA's and control plans
Support the definition of quality processes and technical standards in cooperation with development, product management and manufacturing
Support the planning and evaluation of product test drives within quality and approvals of functions and systems
Provide quality support to the technical and manufacturing teams and drive daily operations

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, and business analysis
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC
Proficiency in QA tools such as Jira, YouTrack, and test management platforms
Experience with cross-platform testing and bug tracking
Higher Diploma in Software Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level (preferred)
PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner (preferred)
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills
High attention to detail and ability to maintain rigorous quality documentation
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with global collaboration
Valid US work authorization on a permanent basis (no visa sponsorship available)
