Description

Arteris is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead front-end architecture development for the Magillem product suite, covering Magillem Connectivity and Magillem Registers. The role focuses on GUI development for semiconductor SoC integration automation tools, combining hands-on implementation with technical leadership and mentoring of senior engineers. The position is based in Montigny-le-Bretonneux near Paris with a base salary of EUR 55,000 to 70,000 annually.

Responsibilities

Define the technical vision for the front-end architecture of the Magillem products
Design scalable, maintainable and robust software architectures
Act as the technical authority for complex GUI development challenges
Promote software engineering best practices, architecture standards and code quality
Lead architecture reviews, design reviews and code reviews
Drive technology modernization initiatives and technical debt reduction
Contribute hands-on to the implementation of critical or strategic features when needed
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption when they provide business value
Mentor software engineers and support their technical growth
Coach senior engineers and help develop future technical leaders
Collaborate with Backend teams to design robust and efficient interfaces
Work closely with Product Management to translate product requirements into technical solutions
Partner with QA teams to continuously improve product quality
Provide technical expertise to Field Application Engineering and Customer Support teams for complex issues
Participate in technical decisions affecting multiple engineering teams

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of professional software development experience
Recognized expertise in modern front-end development with React, TypeScript or equivalent technologies
Strong software architecture experience for complex systems
Extensive experience with large-scale desktop applications
Experience with UI test automation using Playwright or similar technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and technical leadership abilities
Proven experience mentoring software engineers
Fluent French and English
Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or related field
