Description

We are a well‑established family‑owned specialist in solar PV, battery storage and EV charging, delivering commercial installations across the South of England. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of commercial solar and battery projects, from contract award to client handover.

Responsibilities

Own commercial solar PV and battery projects end‑to‑end from contract award through client handover
Build and maintain programme schedules, manage procurement and coordinate subcontractors such as scaffold, roofing, electrical and craneage
Prepare and submit DNO applications and grid connection paperwork (G98 and G99) together with the design team
Produce and review RAMS, conduct site inductions and ensure health‑safety and CDM compliance on site
Serve as the primary client contact, providing progress updates, managing variations and communicating programme changes
Monitor project costs against budget, identify risks early and manage commissioning, snagging and handover documentation

Requirements

Proven project management experience in commercial solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, M&E, building services or electrical contracting
Ability to manage multiple live sites simultaneously and hold subcontractors to programme
Working knowledge of CDM, RAMS and site health and safety, preferably with SMSTS or SSSTS and a CSCS card or willingness to obtain
Strong client‑facing communication skills, able to interact with facilities managers, estates teams and on‑site installers
Excellent organisational skills, calm under pressure and willingness to work on site rather than from a desk
Hold a full UK driving licence

Conditions

Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience plus additional package
Permanent full‑time position within a stable, close‑knit team delivering commercial work
Office‑based role in Berkshire with regular site visits across the South of England
Requirement to hold a full UK driving licence
Opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from 50 kWp rooftop arrays to multi‑megawatt schemes
