Description

A financial consulting firm delivering front-office trading technology for investment banks, investment managers and fintech clients is looking for a QA Lead for a high-impact project where quality really matters. The role focuses on shaping the project's test strategy, driving test automation and promoting QA best practices across the team. You will collaborate with DEV and DevOps teams to enhance automated tests and maximize coverage. The position is based in Barcelona under a highly flexible hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

Propose, create and enhance the project's test strategy considering the test automation approach
Question and challenge existing practices while actively promoting QA best practices
Educate the team that quality is everyone's responsibility
Focus time on value-add testing tasks rather than routine checks
Define and enhance the quality assurance process based on project needs
Provide support and guidance to the team in QA related activities
Build a solid understanding of business, technical and operational requirements
Design, maintain and execute test cases and provide analysis of the results
Collaborate with the DEV team to enhance automated tests and maximize test coverage
Work with Dev and DevOps teams to improve test automation tools and solutions

Requirements

Significant experience in a QA Lead role
Ability to derive test cases from functional and technical designs
Experience with TDD/BDD and test automation
Knowledge of Agile SDLC and understanding of the QA role in it
Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a test-driven and Agile development fashion
