Description

An experienced QA Lead is sought to own quality assurance for immersive XR, VR and enterprise training solutions. The role defines QA standards, leads testing activities across multiple projects and ensures products meet high requirements for reliability, performance and usability. You will collaborate closely with development, product, art and production teams and mentor QA team members in their growth. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Munich.

Responsibilities

Define, implement and continuously evolve QA strategies, standards and best practices for XR projects
Lead and coordinate QA activities across multiple products and releases
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases and test documentation
Oversee functional, regression, performance and usability testing
Work closely with developers, product managers and designers to ensure quality from concept to release
Identify risks early and proactively work to prevent quality issues
Support and drive test automation strategies where it makes sense
Track bugs, manage bug triage processes and ensure transparent communication of quality status
Mentor and technically support QA engineers and testers and foster their professional development
Ensure QA processes scale with the growth of products and teams

Requirements

Several years of professional experience in game QA / game testing in the games industry
Prior experience in a Lead or Senior QA role
Solid understanding of software development processes and QA methods
Hands-on experience in manual testing and basic understanding of test automation
Experience with issue-tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail or comparable systems
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
Excellent communication and coordination skills in interdisciplinary teams
Ability to align quality goals with development and release timelines
Very good English skills; German is an advantage
Experience with XR, VR, gaming or real-time 3D applications
Experience testing complex systems with hardware, software and network components
Knowledge of performance testing, security testing or DevOps-adjacent QA practices
Experience building or scaling QA teams and QA processes
