Description
Sparkassen Rating und Risikosysteme (SR) is the central service provider for risk management procedures within the Sparkassen financial group, supporting institutions with standard solutions for risk measurement and control, regulatory bank steering and data analytics. The Risk Data Analyst develops and maintains reporting for the central risk classification procedures, prepares and analyses large data volumes and structures portfolio data into key figures enriched with benchmark information. The role coordinates closely with internal and external stakeholders and helps expand the existing infrastructure with state-of-the-art technologies, including artificial intelligence, to build an automated reporting pipeline. The position is based in Berlin with flexible working hours and the option for mobile work.

Responsibilities
Work with various programming languages to prepare and analyse large data volumes according to business requirements
Develop existing evaluations further and design new reports to support the central risk classification procedures
Analyse and structure portfolio data to provide well-founded key figures enriched with benchmark information
Interpret and communicate analysis results effectively to the institutions of the Sparkassen financial group
Expand the existing infrastructure and implement state-of-the-art technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enable an automated and innovative reporting pipeline
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as business units, IT and external service providers on technical topics
Requirements
Completed university degree with a quantitative focus in (business) informatics, (financial) mathematics, physics, business/economics or a comparable qualification
Ideally first professional experience in the environment of a credit institution or a consultancy
Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex matters in an understandable way
Very good programming skills, preferably in R or Python
Confident use of SQL and knowledge of a common database management system
Exposure to data visualization software such as Qlik Sense
Very good written and spoken German at C1 level
Pronounced team-oriented approach with a sense of humour
