Description
Accesa is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to work with complex, multidimensional search data at large e-commerce scale. The role covers query-level and ranking analysis, search KPIs, and online experimentation for ML/search, ranking, personalization, and recommendations. The position involves building end-to-end metrics layers, working with event-level and server-side search logs, and leading cross-functional analytical work together with Product Owners, Data Scientists, MLOps and ML/Search Engineers.
Responsibilities
Explore complex, multidimensional search data at large e-commerce scale and generate new hypotheses for search, recommendations, ranking, and personalization
Conduct query-level analysis: zero-results, query reformulation/refinement, abandonment, head/tail behavior, and segmentation by query, category, and intent
Conduct ranking analysis: position bias, CTR by position, and relevance vs. business metric trade-offs
Define, track, and interpret search KPIs: CTR, PDP view rate, add-to-cart (A2C), conversion, revenue, and zero-results rate
Design and evaluate online experiments for ML/search: ranking, personalization, recommendations, facets, and hybrid/vector search
Build end-to-end metrics layers from raw event/tracking data through product-level datasets to clear visualizations
Work hands-on with event-level and server-side search logs
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Data Scientists, MLOps, and ML/Search Engineers to build analytical, statistical, and ML solutions
Lead cross-functional analytical work at a senior level
Requirements
Strong SQL and Python (Pandas) skills backed by solid statistics
Ability to produce clear visualizations with emphasis on SQL/Python/statistics rather than dashboarding tools
Familiarity with search funnel analytics and terminology: query, search results, PDP, add-to-cart (A2C), purchase
Hands-on experience with query-level and ranking analysis: zero-results, reformulation, abandonment, position bias, CTR by position, relevance vs. business trade-offs
