Description

The Senior DevOps Engineer role at U.S. Bank focuses on ensuring automated continuous delivery for Opayo Web Applications in a high-availability environment. Responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring systems, resolving issues, collaborating with development teams, and automating manual tasks to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

Maintaining and supporting Opayo Payments Applications, using monitoring tools to detect failures and investigating/resolving issues and writing custom monitoring scripts
Working with development teams to help design new products and architect new solutions
Monitoring live environment to detect failures and investigate/resolve issues
Working closely with Development & Test Teams to deploy software releases
Supporting production systems as required inside and outside of standard working hours
Reducing overhead of BAU and manual tasks by replacing them with automated solutions
Actively contributing to continual improvement for self, team, and supported systems
Actively participating in departmental projects as per the technology roadmap
Working with third parties and partners to ensure product compliance and stability

Requirements

Extensive experience of AWS
Extensive experience of scripting languages
Extensive experience of monitoring tools such as SumoLogic and New Relic
Extensive experience of automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform
Extensive experience working in a DevOps support model
Experience in highly available, high transaction production environments
Strong communication skills in fast-paced, team-based environments
Preferred: Experience with payment gateways
