Description

Senior DevOps / SRE role at a nearshore digital subsidiary of a major private bank group. The position involves ownership of cloud platform infrastructure (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and security for digital banking products. The team builds and operates secure, scalable solutions in a regulated financial environment with mature DevOps and SRE practices.

Responsibilities

Design and operate cloud landing zones on AWS and/or Azure
Evolve Kubernetes platform and expand Terraform/IaC estate
Modernize CI/CD pipelines with automated security gates and progressive delivery
Define SLOs and error budgets, run observability stack (Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana)
Lead incident response and post-mortems, harden workloads against regulated financial threat model
Profile and tune Java (Spring Boot) and Go services, optimise data access against SQL and MongoDB
Embed SAST/DAST/SCA and image scanning into pipelines
Manage secrets via Vault/Key Vault/Secrets Manager
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Support frontend teams (React, Angular, Vue.js) on build, delivery and runtime telemetry

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering, ideally in financial services or regulated industry
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field
Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS or Azure) in production
Kubernetes experience in production environment
Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tooling
Modern CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or Jenkins)
Observability stacks (monitoring, logging), SLI/SLO definition, on-call and incident management, load and chaos testing
Hands-on coding ability in Python, Bash, or Java; able to read, debug and improve service code and database access
Strong security and compliance mindset: secrets management, identity and access patterns, container and cluster hardening
Familiarity with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2 or equivalent regulatory frameworks
Solid understanding of architectural principles, distributed systems and design patterns
Advanced level of English as working language with QA, UX and group stakeholders
