Description

Kpler provides market intelligence for commodities, energy, and maritime sectors through user‑friendly platforms. The Mobile Experience crew builds high‑performance B2C mobile apps and the supporting backend‑for‑frontend services. The role combines Flutter mobile development with Node.js/TypeScript backend work in an AI‑assisted environment.

Responsibilities

Develop complex, production‑ready features for MarineTraffic and Kpler mobile apps following Clean Architecture
Design and evolve the mobile Backend‑for‑Frontend service using Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS
Conduct code reviews, maintain automated test suites, and improve CI/CD and observability practices
Contribute to product and UX decisions alongside PMs and designers, owning outcomes
Maintain and optimise AI/LLM tooling stack for autonomous code generation
Mentor peers and support Front‑end Chapter initiatives

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
Strong experience building and shipping consumer B2C mobile apps at scale for over a million users
Proven expertise in developing complex Flutter and Dart applications in production
Solid hands‑on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL API design for high‑scale services
Deep knowledge of mobile architecture, performance, testing, and observability with Clean Code principles
Ability to translate Apple Human Interface Guidelines into polished, accessible user experiences
Professional‑level English communication skills (written and spoken)
