Description

Sateliot, a Barcelona‑based satellite communications company, is looking for a Senior IT Program Manager to provide portfolio governance across dozens of software initiatives. The role ensures realistic planning, risk visibility and executive reporting for the CTO and Infrastructure leadership. Hybrid work and extensive learning support complement a mission‑critical environment.

Responsibilities

Establish and continuously maintain a company‑wide software inventory of active and planned initiatives
Create portfolio‑level control by mapping owners, scope, milestones, timings, dependencies and resource needs
Validate technical realism of plans and forecasts, challenging estimates and exposing gaps
Provide clear portfolio reporting to CTO and senior infrastructure leaders via dashboards and Gantt views
Adapt involvement to each initiative, taking direct project manager responsibility only when deeper support is required
Facilitate stakeholder alignment, trade‑off decisions and executive communication across engineering and product teams

Requirements

Extensive senior‑level experience leading complex software programs and portfolios across multiple teams
Strong technical foundation covering full‑stack systems, embedded engineering, cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, observability and mission‑critical software
Expert command of program management including portfolio governance, integrated roadmaps, Gantt planning, dependency mapping, capacity analysis and executive reporting
Advanced proficiency with Jira, Confluence and Google Workspace for tracking and documentation
Outstanding stakeholder leadership and communication, able to influence without authority and translate technical complexity for executives
Bonus: experience in satellite, aerospace, telecommunications or IoT environments
Bonus: technical degree or recognized program management credentials (PgMP, PMP, PRINCE2)
Bonus: practical use of AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT to accelerate work
