Description

ADP is hiring a Senior Manager Software Development to lead one or more Global Payroll Convergence Development teams in an Agile environment. The role involves managing cross-functional teams of developers, QA engineers, product owners, and scrum masters while overseeing technical ecosystems. The manager will collaborate with Product Management, architects, and DevOps on technical decisions, roadmap delivery, and innovation including GenAI tool adoption.

Responsibilities

Manage one or multiple Global Payroll Convergence Development teams in Agile environment
Support teams to work agile, act as first point of contact for escalations
Participate in Outcome Based Teams structure with business stakeholders
Manage team KPIs on code quality, innovation, agility, automation, security and resilience
Keep up with timelines and coding standards in two-week sprints
Collaborate with Product Management on roadmap expectations and deliverables
Leverage GenAI coding agents and lead team to adapt AI Development Life Cycle
Present and defend team's approach to leadership
Oversee technical ecosystem(s) for Convergence team development
Review strategy, architecture, and design for web applications
Collaborate with Product Management, Business, and IT teams (Development and QA)
Apply design patterns and best practices in enterprise application development

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related field
5-10 years proven management experience
Core Java (Java 11 or higher) with OOP concepts, design patterns, and SOLID principles
Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Security), Hibernate/JPA
RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture
Message queuing systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
SQL/NoSQL databases
Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines
Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito)
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
JIRA expertise for backlog, dependencies, and status reporting
Change management experience for implementing new technology and integration methods
Strong communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration
Strategic view to foresee future developments
