Description

TV Development GmbH advertises a Backend Engineer role for Tradevest's fintech platform. The engineer will build Go micro‑services on AWS serverless infrastructure, work with DynamoDB, PostgreSQL and Kafka, and take part in an on‑call rotation. The position is hybrid, requiring office attendance in Warsaw on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with remote work the rest of the week.

Responsibilities

Implement new micro‑services and extend existing ones using Go
Assist in grooming user stories and identifying performance or scaling concerns early
Write unit, integration and API tests and perform code reviews
Optimize data models in DynamoDB and PostgreSQL for low latency and high throughput
Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD and observability enhancements
Participate in on‑call rotation to maintain high availability of fintech systems
Design high‑scale, low‑latency services and lead architecture reviews (senior responsibilities)
Partner with product teams on roadmap feasibility and effort sizing (senior responsibilities)
Mentor junior engineers and share best practices (senior responsibilities)

Requirements

3+ years of professional backend experience, preferably with at least 1 year in Go
Strong grasp of cloud‑native design, RESTful APIs and event‑driven architectures
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, especially DynamoDB and PostgreSQL
Capability to diagnose performance bottlenecks in distributed systems
Willingness to work on‑site in Warsaw twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and basic Terraform knowledge is advantageous
