Description

RHONDOS PowerConnect seeks a Software Engineer for SAP ABAP Development to own code quality and evolution. The role involves feature delivery, SDLC ownership, product support, and continuous learning in a secure, observability-focused product.

Responsibilities

Delivering new features and enhancements with clean, well-annotated code
Applying functional and object-oriented programming principles fluently
Writing code that others can read and review
Ensuring code is free from security vulnerabilities
Writing and maintaining unit tests and contributing to integration testing
Participating actively in code review
Contributing to transport management and release packaging
Supporting root cause analysis and resolution in production
Providing technical escalation support for complex customer issues
Building documentation and tooling to reduce escalations
Actively staying current with modern ABAP practices
Contributing to internal knowledge sharing

Requirements

Solid, demonstrable proficiency in ABAP — classical and modern syntax
Deep proficiency in ABAP Objects: interfaces, inheritance, class-based exceptions
Strong ABAP Dictionary skills: transparent tables, views, data elements
Hands-on experience with RFC and parallel processing
HTTP/REST integration from ABAP and serializing/parsing JSON and XML
Performance-minded development for high-volume data extraction
Understanding of core computer engineering principles: data structures, algorithmic complexity
Experience working across the full SDLC
Familiarity with SAP security concepts relevant to ABAP development
Ability to write code that others can read
Curiosity and discipline to apply new techniques
Experience with modern ABAP practices (strong preference)
Familiarity with SAP observability and security tooling
Experience in a product company
Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD practices in SAP context
Working knowledge of observability protocols: Splunk, Dynatrace
Experience querying SAP HANA via ADBC / native SQL
Familiarity with SAP integration technologies: OData, SLT, IDoc

Conditions

Base salary: PLN 25,000 - 33,000 per month for Poland, €72,000 – €95,000 per year for Germany
Employment contract with annual leave: 26-30 days
Private medical cover or statutory insurance
Remote work within Poland or Germany
Discretionary annual bonus and stock option grant
Working language is English
