Description

Astek is looking for an Automation Tester (Java) for a banking client in Warsaw. The role involves designing and executing both automated and manual tests for complex systems, APIs and integrations. You will work with Java‑based test frameworks and collaborate within a Scrum team. The contract is B2B with a competitive daily rate.

Responsibilities

Design and implement test cases, planning and analysis for Java applications
Automate tests based on Java using selected frameworks
Prepare test data and execute both automated and manual test runs
Perform API testing and verify system integrations
Participate in non‑functional testing activities such as performance checks
Collaborate within a Scrum team to deliver quality software
Utilize test management and testing tools for tracking and reporting

Requirements

Experience in automating tests using Java programming language
Knowledge of test frameworks such as Playwright or Robot Framework
Familiarity with test management tools and overall testing principles
Ability to test APIs and complex system integrations
Understanding of Java ecosystem, relational databases and Linux environment
Willingness to combine automated tests with manual testing
Experience with non‑functional testing of applications
