Description

Schwarz Digits is the IT and digital division of the Schwarz Group, building and managing IT infrastructures for the retail divisions Lidl and Kaufland, as well as Schwarz Production and PreZero, and operating as an independent provider on the European market. The team is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to design and develop features across React-based UIs and Python FastAPI backend services. You will build and maintain RESTful APIs, collaborate with Data and Security Engineering teams, and work in Agile cross-functional teams distributed across Germany and Spain.

Responsibilities

Design and develop features across the full stack, from React-based UIs to Python FastAPI backend services
Build and maintain RESTful APIs supporting core platform workflows
Collaborate with Data and Security Engineering teams on scalable feature delivery
Contribute to technical discussions and implementation decisions within your scope
Ensure code quality through testing and code review
Support QA processes across unit, integration and end-to-end test layers
Work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams across Germany and Spain

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in Full Stack Software Development
Strong proficiency in React (frontend) and Python with FastAPI (backend), both are must-haves
Experience with QA and test automation across unit, integration and E2E layers
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
Working knowledge of relational (SQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis)
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively on assigned features
Strong English communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, international environment
Experience working in Agile environments
