Description
Allianz's BMP Finance initiative modernises global financial platforms. The Senior AI Engineer will work with AI‑first engineering practices, Spec‑Driven Development and cloud technologies to deliver intelligent, production‑ready solutions for finance processes.
Responsibilities
Co‑lead discovery sessions with product owners, architects and business stakeholders to translate processes into solution requirements
Evolve senior software development practice by leveraging internal AI agents and Spec‑Driven Development to generate production‑ready solutions
Design end‑to‑end solutions and write precise specifications including domain models, contracts, schemas, decision logic and policies
Deliver backend and frontend services, APIs and data layers driven from specifications and AI agents
Iterate on AI agents, prompts, specs and guardrails using evaluation sets and quality metrics
Write high‑quality, well‑documented, testable specifications and code in collaboration with AI agents
Participate in code/spec reviews, testing, demos, debugging and effort estimation for new developments
Requirements
5+ years of software development experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java or similar languages
Hands‑on experience with AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG architectures, embeddings, prompt engineering and evaluation techniques
Practical knowledge of Spec‑Driven / Contract‑First Development using OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, JSON Schema, protobuf or similar standards
Strong cloud expertise in Azure, AWS or OCI, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, automation and observability
Solid understanding of software architecture principles, API‑First design, Hexagonal Architecture and Event‑Driven Architectures (Kafka)
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent English communication (B2+) and experience working in agile cross‑functional teams
