Description

Planner 5D is a global platform for home design used by over 100 million users across 230 territories. The company offers cross‑platform products on Web, iOS, Android, Windows and macOS, focusing on simplifying home renovation. The team seeks a Lead Android Developer to own new features, work on complex graphics, AI and multiplayer technologies, and influence product decisions.

Responsibilities

Own Android development and master the existing codebase
Choose appropriate technologies aligned with long‑term product goals
Participate in all product development stages, from UI design to analytics and payments
Implement complex features such as custom views, 2D/3D graphics, VR, AI and CRDT
Utilize popular Android libraries and Kotlin solutions effectively
Solve technical problems, answer team questions and propose practical solutions
Develop modular code, conduct thorough code reviews and follow coding guidelines
Collaborate closely with both technical and non‑technical teams
Support hiring processes as the team expands

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of Android development experience, including leadership
Extensive experience with Kotlin and Java programming languages
Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries and Dagger
Proficiency with SQL, SQLite and Room database solutions
Experience with concurrency using Kotlin Coroutines or RxJava
Ability to work with REST APIs, JSON, XML and Protobuf
Strong software design, code quality and testing practices
Excellent communication and mentoring skills for junior developers
Experience with in‑app payments and subscription models
Fluent English for communication and documentation
