Description

Schwarz Digits builds the technological foundation for digital sovereignty in Europe, providing cloud, security, data AI, communication and workspace services. As a Backend Engineer you will develop scalable .NET applications, design microservices and manage cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

Build high‑quality, scalable software using .NET, SOLID principles and DDD
Design and manage complex distributed systems and microservices, including Kubernetes and cloud deployments
Perform code reviews and ensure code quality through pull‑request analysis
Collaborate in cross‑functional teams with developers, designers, data analysts, QA engineers and product owners
Coordinate API and payload contracts with React Native feature teams

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a .NET developer with deep knowledge of the .NET ecosystem (.NET 6 or higher)
Proven experience in cloud development, preferably GCP, and managing workloads in Kubernetes
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
Experience with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and SQL databases
Ability to write unit and integration tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana
Excellent English communication skills for technical discussions
