Description

Agap2 is a European IT and Engineering consultancy operating in 14 countries. The Data Platform Engineer will work on Azure‑based data platforms for clients in banking, fintech, telco, retail, sports and healthcare. The role involves building, operating and scaling the platform, automating infrastructure and supporting data and product teams.

Responsibilities

Build and operate the Azure platform at scale, applying platform engineering principles
Design and maintain CI/CD workflows and Linux‑based tooling for automated delivery
Drive innovation in architecture, reliability and security, automating improvement processes
Manage infrastructure using a GitOps approach, ensuring versioned and auditable changes
Enable engineers and stakeholders with clear guardrails, documentation and guidance
Improve platform scalability and resilience as the user base expands across Europe
Own production systems, ensuring reliability, operational excellence and continuous improvement
Act as a generalist across infrastructure, automation and CI/CD, switching between technical challenges as needed

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience as a Software, DevOps or Platform Engineer with ownership of production systems
3+ years of hands‑on Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably with Terraform
Strong Python development skills for typed, well‑tested automation and cloud API integration
Deep knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage services and IAM/RBAC
Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, e.g., GitHub Actions on Linux runners
Generalist mindset covering infrastructure, automation, reliability and security
