Description
The role involves entering projects before contract signing, pricing, planning, defending bids, and then delivering projects with full ownership of P&L, schedule, quality, and HSE. It requires hands-on experience in industrial or power construction projects, including wind, solar, hydro, and substations.
Responsibilities
Technical and commercial screening of incoming opportunities (wind, solar, hydro, substations, transmission); preparation and defence of the Bid / No-Bid decision.
Development of the project execution strategy: summary-level schedule, resource histogram, logistics concept, ramp-up and work-front deployment plan.
Building the project budget together with the technical and estimating departments; BOQ review, scope-split definition, allocation of risk between parties.
Preparation of prequalification (PQ) submissions and tender packages, Project Execution Plans; defence in front of the client, the EPC contractor and our shareholder.
Selection of partners, subcontractors and suppliers; participation in negotiations on the contracting model (subcontract / EPC / EPC+F).
Full ownership of project P&L, schedule, quality and HSE.
Contract administration under FIDIC: variations, claims, EOT, formal correspondence with the client.
Planning and control in Primavera P6 — reporting, S-curves, progress and earned value.
Interfacing with owners and EPC contractors, as well as with the owner's engineer and technical supervision.
Compliance with ESHS requirements and IFC Performance Standards where the project is IFI-financed.
Requirements
5+ years managing projects in industrial or power construction, including at least one completed generation or grid asset.
Hands-on ownership of a project with a budget of USD 20–30 million or above.
