Description
DXC Technology is seeking a GIS Managed Service Lead to oversee the DMZ Managed Service in Hampshire. The role involves managing a multidisciplinary team responsible for boundary security, including firewalls, cross-domain solutions, and compliance with defense security standards. The candidate will act as the senior escalation point for security incidents and drive the adoption of Zero Trust architecture.
Responsibilities
Lead operational delivery, governance, and assurance of boundary security services
Ensure availability, resilience, performance, and compliance of DMZ Managed service
Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams of security engineers and analysts
Act as senior escalation point for boundary-related security incidents
Ensure effective implementation of change, configuration, and accreditation processes
Maintain compliance with security standards and client policies
Drive continual service improvement and operational efficiency
Collaborate with architects, cyber defence teams, and stakeholders
Support adoption of Zero Trust principles and network segmentation
Provide operational reporting and risk management to senior stakeholders
Requirements
Significant experience leading cyber security managed services in enterprise or defence environments
Strong technical expertise in boundary security technologies including firewalls and cross-domain solutions
Proven experience managing service delivery, operational risk, and major incidents
Strong understanding of security governance, accreditation, and compliance frameworks
Experience working within highly regulated or mission-critical environments
Demonstrable leadership capability to build and develop high-performing technical teams
Strong stakeholder management skills with engineers, architects, and customers
Experience supporting security transformation initiatives like Zero Trust
Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or Computer Science or equivalent
Typically 7+ years of experience in cyber security or network security
Strong technical understanding of enterprise firewall platforms
Knowledge of secure gateway and proxy technologies
Experience with cross domain solutions and secure information exchange
Understanding of network segmentation and Zero Trust Architecture
Knowledge of security monitoring, SIEM, and threat detection
Understanding of TCP/IP networking and network security principles
Experience operating within accredited defence or government environments
Working knowledge of client security policies and NCSC guidance
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, etc.
Eligibility for UK security clearance
Conditions
