Description

To lead the IT support and service operations team while establishing and maintaining strong quality assurance and testing practices for software systems, applications, and infrastructure. The role ensures high service availability, rapid incident resolution, robust testing of new releases, and continuous improvement in IT delivery and user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Perform functional testing of software and systems to identify defects
Develop, implement and document comprehensive test plans for IT applications
Define quality standards and validation techniques for releases
Manage service desk operations, monitor SLAs and handle vendor escalations
Act as technical escalation point for complex incidents and conduct post‑incident reviews
Identify automation opportunities and implement scripts to improve testing efficiency
Generate reports on uptime, QA metrics, SLA compliance and service improvements
Ensure compliance with GDPR, IT security policies and audit requirements
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate releases and manage system upgrades

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
Minimum two years experience in software testing or quality assurance
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright (preferred)
Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI (preferred)
Basic SQL knowledge for database validation (preferred)

Conditions

37.5‑hour work week, full‑time permanent contract
Salary £38,000‑£43,000 per year
In‑person work at Canary Wharf office, relocation preferred
Required travel up to 100 % of time
Compliance with GDPR and IT security standards
