Description
As a Performance Graphic Designer at Ancient + Brave, you will design static and motion assets for paid social channels, primarily Meta, working at a high volume while maintaining brand integrity. You will collaborate closely with a Performance Creative Strategist and Social Video Editor, using AI tools to enhance creativity and efficiency. The role is based full-time in a riverside office in Lewes, within a mission-driven wellness brand.
Responsibilities
Design statics, carousels, stories and motion assets for paid social channels, built for the platform with understanding and skill
Take single concepts and build out variants required for testing plan across format, aspect, hook, offer, and audience
Design with the numbers in mind. When a creative wins, you will work out which part of it won and design the next round from there
Rework and refresh live assets quickly as performance shifts and evolves over time
Turn briefs around in hours and days, not weeks
Keep every asset recognisably Ancient + Brave while stretching what the brand can do in a performance context
Build and maintain templates, master files and component libraries so speed compounds over time
Use AI tools where they make the work faster or better, but maintain a tight hold on the brand and its integrity
Sit with the Performance Creative Strategist through briefing and review as a partner in the development of work
Work with the Social Video Editor so static and motion feed each other rather than running in parallel
Take direction from the Creative Director and Art Director on craft and brand
Develop work across all A+B markets flexing the core brand as needed to support different seasons, buying occasions and cultural needs
Support the wider design team on brand assets, packaging and campaign work when needed and when time allows
Requirements
Proven experience designing for paid social at volume, in-house or agency side, with a strong portfolio
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite. Comfortable in After Effects for motion, and in Figma
Enthusiastic, adept and constantly curious about the use of AI to aid, enhance and generate stand out creativity
You understand what makes creative perform on Meta and can talk about it in specifics: hooks, hierarchy, branding
Experience and comfort working to a testing plan, producing structured variants rather than one-offs
DTC brand experience, ideally wellness, beauty, supplements or food and drink
Editing ability is beneficial
Fast, and precise, despite volume and pace, you have high standards and they do not slip
Motivated by results. You want to know how an asset did and you make sure to find out
Focused on the channels in front of you, you are an expert and they are your craft
A true team player and a valued member of a small but mighty squad
Organised, meticulous about naming, structure and filing so you never waste time
