Description

Roots Kitchens Bedrooms Bathrooms, a small business designing and installing home rooms, seeks a Project Manager to oversee installations. The role involves surveying rooms, scheduling work, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Survey the room and check for errors in the survey pack
Talk to the client and ensure they understand everything they are getting
Work with the designer to find solutions to problems or alterations
Schedule the work and write a plan of work
Book sub contractors for the job and remind them before the job starts
Book in and check items from suppliers, chase overdue items
Ensure home is protected from damage and assist on strip out of room
Keep client informed of progress and respond to requests during work
Maintain a snags list and organise work to be carried out soon
Get client sign off and encourage testimonials
Ensure sites are clean, tidy and safe
Respond to client service requests after job completion
Check material invoices and approve for payment, enter bills into accounting system
Keep vehicles roadworthy and presentable, organise service and MOT
Carry out surveys in advance if requested, ensure stores are clean and stock levels appropriate
Track costs into project costing system and organise repairs or display updates

Requirements

Full UK Driving licence (you will be driving a large van)
Physically fit (you will be lifting products and assisting during the strip out of rooms and disposal of waste)
Ability to accurately measure rooms
Ability to calculate material requirements from plans
Ability to carry out small practical tasks to solve snags
Excellent communication skills (to client, colleagues and sub contractors, by voice and in writing)

Conditions

Working hours are 8am - 4pm with 30min unpaid lunch (37.5hr week)
