Description

We are looking for a hands‑on QA Automation Lead to drive test automation capabilities within a strategic Energy‑sector programme. You will lead and mentor Automation Engineers, define the automation roadmap and build scalable frameworks while staying actively involved in technical delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop the Automation Engineering team
Define the test automation strategy and roadmap
Design and optimise scalable automation frameworks
Drive automation across web, REST APIs, backend, SAP and mobile applications
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Promote continuous testing, DevOps and quality best practices
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement throughout the software lifecycle

Requirements

More than eight years of experience in test automation
Proven experience leading, coordinating or mentoring technical teams
Hands‑on expertise in UI, REST API, backend, SAP and mobile automation
Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Git and Jira or TFS
Fluent Portuguese and English at B2 level or above
ISTQB Advanced Level or Test Automation Engineer certification is a plus

Conditions

Hybrid work model – three days onsite per week
Only candidates already based in Portugal will be considered
Fluent Portuguese and English (B2+) required
Monthly rate between €3200 and €3500
