Description

B. Braun’s Global Digital Department is building a vendor‑neutral Digital Foundation Platform to connect medical devices, hospital information systems and clinical workflows. The Senior Interoperability & Integration Analyst will lead clinical data modeling, FHIR governance and medical imaging metadata strategy across the platform.

Responsibilities

Design, author and govern HL7 FHIR profiles and extensions for the platform
Model and map complex clinical entities from HIS/EMR to standardized resources
Define metadata schemas for medical imaging and non‑DICOM multimedia content
Establish semantic links between imaging studies and EMR records using FHIR resources
Analyze hospital clinical workflows and translate them into interoperability specifications
Specify transformation rules between legacy HL7 v2/CDA formats and native FHIR/DICOM models
Audit software implementations to ensure strict compliance with data models and standards

Requirements

Expert knowledge of HL7 FHIR R4/R5, StructureDefinitions and ValueSets
Advanced experience with HL7 v2.x messaging (ADT, ORM, ORU)
Deep understanding of DICOM and DICOMweb standards (WADO‑RS, STOW‑RS, QIDO‑RS)
Proficiency with clinical terminologies SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD‑10/11, RxNorm, UCUM
Minimum 5 years in healthcare data architecture or clinical informatics
Fluent English (C1) for standards committees and global collaboration
