Description

Tradevest Markets AG is a leading FinTech company delivering trading platforms for securities and cryptocurrencies. The Backend Engineer will develop Go micro‑services on AWS serverless infrastructure, work with DynamoDB, PostgreSQL and Kafka, and join an on‑call rotation. The position is hybrid, based in Warsaw with office days on Tuesday and Thursday and occasional travel to Germany.

Responsibilities

Implement new micro‑services and extend existing ones in Go
Help groom user‑story requirements and surface performance and scaling concerns early
Write unit, integration and API tests and review pull requests
Tune data models in DynamoDB and PostgreSQL for low‑latency, high‑throughput workloads
Pair with DevOps on CI/CD and observability improvements
Participate in on‑call rotation to support a high‑available fintech system
Design and drive high‑scale, low‑latency services (senior level)
Lead architecture reviews and keep technical debt in check (senior level)
Partner with Product on roadmap feasibility and effort sizing (senior level)
Mentor less experienced colleagues (senior level)

Requirements

3+ years of professional backend experience, ideally with at least 1 year using Go
Solid understanding of cloud‑native design, RESTful APIs and event‑driven patterns
Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, including DynamoDB and PostgreSQL
Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks in distributed systems
Willingness to work on‑site in Warsaw twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and basic Terraform knowledge is a plus
