Description

Solera is a global leader in data and software services for the vehicle lifecycle, offering digital solutions for automotive, home and identity protection. They are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to lead design, development and delivery of automation frameworks for next‑generation platforms involving computer vision, machine learning and sensor fusion. The role involves collaborating with product, engineering and DevOps teams to build testable, high‑performance software in an Agile environment. Position is based in Madrid, Spain.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, document and maintain automation tools and test cases for current and next‑gen software platforms
Interpret functional requirements to create and execute automated functional and data validation test plans
Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams on TDD/CI‑CD strategy and environment maintenance
Provide feedback to influence design of testable platforms, applications and data models
Build quality, performance and reliability into software from day one
Drive technical execution and communication within Agile scrum teams
Document and communicate module and automation framework functions, interfaces and performance criteria
Estimate effort, schedule and develop tasks to meet project milestones
Conduct defect management including identification, analysis and documentation
Work closely with development team for unit‑test reviews and issue resolution

Requirements

BS in Computer Science or related field or 4‑5 years technical experience as SDE/T
Minimum 2 years professional experience in an object‑oriented programming language
Experience with full software development lifecycle, code reviews and source control
Proficiency in Java development
Experience developing automated tests using Selenium libraries
Ability to design, implement and scale test automation frameworks
Strong experience in end‑to‑end test strategies
Prior experience with Agile methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
